The Micro-Credits Program to Admits Additional Beneficiaries

After two months of the extensive social research that targeted new beneficiaries, the Micro-credit program has this month expanded to include more beneficiaries on both the urban and the rural levels.

On the urban level, 39 new beneficiaries have been admitted to the program to raise the total number from 74 to 113 beneficiaries. Upon determining the successful beneficiaries, the project credit officers divided the beneficiaries among themselves. Each officer became responsible for all the procedures, completion of the beneficiaries’ files, and adjustment of repayment schedules and monitoring of their respective group's activities. Then on April 18th the 38 targeted beneficiaries were invited to the Center to receive their determined loans. The total amount of the loans they received was estimated to be L.E 48500. Moreover, around 10 new illiterate beneficiaries have been enrolled to the illiteracy classes that started four months earlier.

On the urban level, the number of beneficiaries in Bedeen village in El Mansoura governorate raised from 23 to 48 beneficiaries who already received their loans on April 27. Currently, the project's team is studying the possibility of launching its illiteracy classes in Bedeen Village.
